Tootsie’s celebrates 56th Anniversary with downtown birthday bash in the heart of Nashville. The celebrations shut down Broadway, as they had everything from eating contests to live music.
The free block party was a massive gathering of music lovers, tourists and also Nashville Natives alike. Big names such as Billy Ray Cyrus, to Montgomery Gentry took the stage for the hours of live music.
Kid Rock stayed in town after his show at the Carl Black Amphitheater to attend the Tootsie’s Bash as well. Check it out below:
The others we’re also live streamed by the official Tootsie’s Facebook account including Montgomery Gentry’s below:
The history of Tootsie’s has been engrained in Downtown Nashville. It is also the famous bar next door to the historic Ryman Auditorium. Some of the stories go, that when artists were done with their show at the Ryman, they crossed the ally and went in the back entrance to Tootsie’s.
Back in the day, classic Country Artists from the Opry would do this, and play a more intimate after show in Tootsie’s. Believe it or not, this still happens today, including Keith Urban and Justin Moore making surprise appearances.
