The Grand Ole Opry celebrates 91st Birthday with a collection of Country Stars during the October 8th Opry show. Brad Paisley takes to Facebook via livestream to share what happens behind the scenes at the Opry.
Showing everything from the front artist entry to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band warm up in their dressing room. This same night, Paisley also performed his latest single ‘Today‘ to share all the Opry moments over the last 91 years.
The Opry was originally founded in 1925 and then moved to it’s permanent home in 1945 to the Ryman Auditorium. Some of the slogans it has gained over the years include “The Show that Made Country Music Famous”. Other slogans also include “Home of American Music” and “Country’s Most Famous Stage.”
The show eventually needed to hold more seating and parking to hold the growth of the Opry. This is when the Oplyland Theme Park was built, and eventually the new Grand Ole Opry House in 1974.
This is currently where the Opry lives, with the exception of shared performances with the Ryman Auditorium throughout the year.
