Aerosmith’s frontman, Steven Tyler, announces the bands Farewell Tour will take place in 2017.
In an interview with Howard Stern, he states:
“I love this band, I really do, and I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this: The band’s over.”
“We’re doing a farewell tour, but it’s only because it’s time,”
Stern also provoked the point further, asking if Farewell means they will forever be gone, with a reply of Yes.
For all of us Aerosmith fans, Tyler’s manager still gives a glimmer of hope as she states:
“They are not breaking up. That’s not quite what he said,” Warfield said. “He is still the ultimate frontman for Aerosmith, the greatest American rock band of all time. Aerosmith will always be his first love and nothing will ever take that away.
Steven is also going strong as he was a headliner at the CMA Fest earlier this month, and has a new album coming July 5th.
Called “We’re All Somebody From Somewhere,” there will be a solo tour “Out On A Limb” this fall, leading up to the big Aerosmith Tour in 2017.
