Craig Morgan has cancelled his tour dates for the rest of July amongst the tragedy of his son, Jerry Greer.
Jerry’s body was found in the Kentucky Lake after a boating accident had taken place. The last we knew, police investigators we’re still uncertain on what had happened after the tubing accident that led to him not resurfacing when knocked off the tube.
He was said to have had a life jacket on during the accident, so it is hard to think of what could lead to such a tragedy.
For Morgan’s several cancelled appearances, ticket refunds will vary by each venue.
However, if Ticketmaster was used, refunds will be given automatically if purchased on the internet or by phone.
Greer’s visitation and funeral have been announced:
Visitation: Walnut Street Church of Christ (201 Center Avenue, Nashville) on July 15.
The funeral will take place 11AM Saturday morning at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Also, as said on Taste of Country, his obituary reads:
“Jerry was the smile that instantly lit up any room. He was a superstar without even trying. He was a natural athlete that accomplished what most spend a lifetime attempting to achieve. He was a devoted and dedicated son, brother and friend. He loved his God, his family, his friends and his country more than anything. His passions were football, soccer and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by everyone who came in contact with him. He will be forever in our thoughts, in our words, and in our hearts.”
We want to wish Craig and the family our condolences, and send prayers to the healing of those affected.
Also family, friends, and fans have been affected by this and just goes to show that one shouldn’t take life for granted.
