Chris Stapleton’s Childhood Dream Comes True Opening For Guns N’ Roses

Chris Stapleton opened for Guns N’ Roses last night at Nissan Stadium last night.

Being a childhood dream for Stapleton, when asked if somebody told him he’d be opening for GNR he states:

“I’d have called (them) a liar”

Stapleton has made an astounding career as a songwriter, and an even more insane debut career as an artist.

His debut album ‘Traveller’ was released in 2014, when he went solo from his band ‘The Steeldrivers.’

Two short years later, he is opening up for one of the most iconic rock bands in history here in Nashville.

The ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour, is what Axl Rose said when asked about a reunion tour back in 2012.

For the first time since the early-mid 90’s, we get to witness the original band with Slash, Axl, and bassist Duff McKagan.

Stapleton is known to break out of his Country skin for a song or two on his sets as well.

This is an amazing fit for a legendary rock band to bridge the gap between Country and Rock in Nashville.
