The Country Music Hall Of Fame inductee, Bonnie Brown, has passed away at age 78.
Being inducted into the Hall of Fame one year ago in 2015, she also lived a relatively short life, 1938-2016.
She was also one third of the trio The Browns.
At Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, she passed due to complications from lung cancer.
It is so sad to see such legends pass away, especially among the several we have seen so far this year.
One of the biggest losses was also legend Merle Haggard.
The Browns turned trio when joining her brother and sister, and ended up having a number 2 hit in 1956.
This hit was called ‘I Take the Chance’ and Kyle Young, CEO, of CMHoF stated:
“When Bonnie Brown joined her brother, Jim Ed, and her sister, Maxine, in song, the siblings created an incomparable harmony: the smoothest and most elegant blend in country music.”
