Full Name: Blake Tollison Shelton

Bio: Blake Shelton started singing at a young age. By the time he was 12 years old, Shelton learned how to play guitar. By the age of 15, he had written his first song. The first step Shelton took after high school was to move to Nashville to start his music career. He was in pursuit of a contract with Sony Music with the help of Bobby Braddock in 1997. However, a few year later in 2001, he signed with publishing company called “Giant Records.”

Giant Records was where Shelton released his first big hit “Austin,” which rose on the billboard country charts. It spent five weeks in the number one spot to give Shelton a huge audience for a future album. This was the start of a long line of chart topping singles and albums:
