Alan Jackson racks up 10 nominations at CMA Awards on August 29th, of 2002.

It was the 36th annual Country Music Association Awards that Jackson had broken a record held by legend Merle Haggard.

Beating out this record that was held by Haggard for 32 years, is quite a milestone as an artist.

Many argue that Jackson is also a legend in his own right, which is hard to argue with as well.
